Java Bean Café started with a conversation between two, long-time friends, Mariana and Kathy, who love great coffee and delicious food. After sharing their idea with Calvin and Joe, they looked for a community in need of a coffee shop where they could provide a warm, relaxing atmosphere.
Calvin Cheng is a professional chef with 15+ years of experience. A graduate from the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale's Culinary Arts Program, Chef Calvin's dishes have graced many tables in Ft Lauderdale, FL; New York City, NY; Cherry Hill, NJ; and Philadelphia, PA. With his focus on Asian Fusion, he's known for his work at Seasons 52, Susanna Foo's, and Starr Restaurants.
